CA Institute’s Code of Conduct

Academic year 2026/2027

We are committed to ensuring that our business is conducted in an ethical and responsible manner

CA Institute is committed to education that is personal, practical, international, and grounded in professional integrity. Our Code of Conduct sets out the standards we share as students, clients, faculty, employees, contractors, partners, and visitors.

These standards apply to our classrooms, offices, online learning, institutional communications, events, and other activities with a meaningful connection to CA Institute. They support a safe, respectful environment in which people can learn, work, ask questions, and raise concerns.

Our commitments

Since 1997, CA Institute has worked to provide high-quality education, personal attention, practical learning, intercultural understanding, and continuous improvement. We take responsibility for the quality of our teaching, the accuracy of our information, and the professionalism of our services.

We aim to provide clear information about course objectives, entry requirements, delivery methods, schedules, taught and independent study hours, assessment, attendance, group arrangements, fees, and cancellation terms. Information about qualifications, awarding institutions, accreditation, and recognition must be accurate and must not imply guarantees that the Institute cannot make.

We support teaching quality through preparation, appropriate resources, assessment, constructive feedback, classroom observation, and professional development. We welcome questions and feedback that help us improve.

Respect inclusion and safety

Everyone must treat others with dignity and respect. Unlawful discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, violence, and retaliation are unacceptable. This applies equally to face-to-face conduct, online lessons, messages, and relevant social media activity.

Differences in background, beliefs, experience, or opinion should be handled respectfully. Constructive disagreement is welcome; personal attacks and abusive behavior are not.

Follow applicable safety instructions, building rules, and reasonable directions from authorized staff. Report hazards, accidents, injuries, or serious concerns promptly. Where there is an immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service first.

Faculty must maintain appropriate professional boundaries and must not leave students unattended during scheduled instruction except in an emergency or where appropriate supervision has been arranged.

Student participation and academic integrity

Students are expected to arrive on time, attend regularly, participate actively, complete required work, and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Unless a different requirement is specified in writing, the minimum attendance requirement is 80%. Program-specific assessment and completion requirements also apply.

Academic work must honestly reflect the student’s own contribution. Plagiarism, contract cheating, ghostwriting, falsified records, unauthorized collaboration, and misrepresentation of authorship are prohibited. AI use must follow the instructions and permissions applicable to the course or assessment.

Certificates, transcripts, and awards are subject to the relevant academic requirements, verification, and applicable contractual obligations. Enrollment alone does not guarantee completion, certification, admission to further study, employment, or professional recognition.

Faculty and staff professionalism

Colleagues must prepare appropriately, honor scheduled commitments, maintain accurate records, meet relevant deadlines, and communicate reliably with students, clients, supervisors, and one another. Absences or delays must be reported as soon as reasonably possible.

Teachers must follow authorized procedures for cancellations, changes to lessons, and substitute arrangements. Colleagues must not make unauthorized promises, guarantees, financial commitments, or contractual representations on behalf of CA Institute.

Questions about tuition, refunds, contracts, visas, accommodation, admissions decisions, formal complaints, or official documentation must be referred to the appropriate authorized representative.

CA Institute supports constructive performance reviews, classroom observation, professional reflection, and continuing development. Working arrangements, compensation, benefits, and the conclusion of a working relationship remain governed by the relevant written agreement and applicable law.

Professional communication and relationships

Use appropriate institutional channels, communicate accurately and courteously, and raise significant academic, administrative, or safety issues with the person responsible. Digital communication should meet the same professional standards as an in-person conversation.

Protect professional boundaries and respect reasonable personal and working-time boundaries. If a concern involves your usual supervisor or contact, you may raise it with another appropriate member of management or the Founding Director.

Colleagues must not use their position or access to divert CA Institute students or clients to private or competing services without written authorization. Participants must not independently engage CA Institute instructors or staff outside Institute services without prior written authorization, as set out in the applicable Terms and Conditions.

Privacy confidentiality and responsible technology use

Personal information, student records, confidential business information, and protected academic materials must be handled securely and used only for authorized purposes. Do not share passwords, access information without authorization, or disclose protected information to unauthorized people. Report suspected data loss, unauthorized access, phishing, or other security incidents promptly.

Respect copyright, licensed resources, and CA Institute intellectual property. Use premises, equipment, accounts, and learning platforms responsibly and within the permissions given.

AI can support teaching, learning, and administration, but it does not replace professional judgment. Staff must check AI-assisted work for accuracy, bias, reliability, and suitability. Confidential or personally identifiable information must not be entered into unauthorized public AI systems or external services. AI must not be used to fabricate records, misrepresent authorship, or make consequential decisions about people without appropriate human review.

Accurate information and visa documentation

Applications, enrollment records, and visa or residence applications connected with CA Institute must contain accurate and complete material information. Correct material errors promptly. Forged or altered documents, knowingly false statements, deliberate concealment of material facts, and misuse of the Institute’s letters, signatures, stamps, or name are prohibited.

Do not misrepresent enrollment, attendance, course dates, payments, or the status of a program to authorities or third parties. CA Institute may decline to issue or endorse information it cannot reasonably verify and may provide accurate information to competent authorities where legally required or otherwise lawfully permitted.

A promptly corrected honest error, a visa refusal, or a good-faith question about accreditation or immigration requirements does not by itself constitute misconduct. Visa and residence decisions rest with the relevant authorities; CA Institute does not guarantee approval.

Reputation feedback and freedom to raise concerns

Knowingly or recklessly communicating materially false factual allegations that cause, or create a demonstrable serious risk of, harm to CA Institute, its staff, partners, or legitimate business interests may constitute serious misconduct. Fabricating evidence, impersonating the Institute, and deliberately misrepresenting its documents are also prohibited.

This does not restrict truthful reviews, honestly held opinions, good-faith complaints, lawful reports to authorities, protected disclosures, or statutory rights. A negative review or disagreement alone is not grounds for termination or loss of a refund.

We prohibit retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith, participates in an investigation, or exercises a protected right. A complaint is not false merely because it cannot be substantiated.

Reporting concerns and making complaints

Students and clients should submit formal service complaints in writing, describing the issue, relevant dates, supporting information, and the resolution requested. Contact admin@ca-institute.com or info@ca-institute.com so the matter can be directed to the appropriate representative.

Under the Terms and Conditions, complaints should be raised as soon as reasonably possible; complaints submitted more than 30 days after a program, service, or event concludes may not be considered under the Institute’s internal procedure. This does not remove statutory rights or prevent a person from contacting a competent authority.

Staff may report workplace concerns to their supervisor, another appropriate manager, or the Founding Director. Reports of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or serious misconduct may be made verbally or in writing. Informal resolution is not required where the seriousness or nature of the concern makes it inappropriate.

CA Institute will seek to review concerns promptly, fairly, and impartially. Information will be shared only as reasonably necessary to investigate, take action, protect those involved, or comply with legal obligations. Absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where a fair investigation requires disclosure.

Responding to breaches

Our response will reflect the evidence, seriousness, context, and impact of the concern. Appropriate measures may include clarification, support, a warning, an opportunity to improve, academic consequences, suspension, refusal of further services, or termination of participation or a working relationship.

For students and clients, serious or repeated breaches may justify refusal, suspension, or termination under the Terms and Conditions. Written notice will state the material reasons, effective date, and financial consequences. Participants will normally have an opportunity to respond before a final termination decision. Serious fraud, threats, unlawful conduct, or an urgent substantial risk to safety or lawful operations may require immediate action, followed by prompt review.

A participant may request an internal review in writing within 10 business days of receiving the decision. Faculty and staff matters follow the Handbook, their individual agreements, and applicable law. Internal procedures do not limit access to courts, regulators, consumer dispute resolution, or other legal remedies.

Fees refunds and the documents that apply

Termination for proven serious misconduct does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund, and it does not automatically forfeit all payments. Fees for services already properly supplied and validly earned non-refundable fees may be retained where legally permitted. Documented losses may be deducted only where a lawful right of set-off exists; deductions must be proportionate, itemized, and must not duplicate another recovery or amount to an excessive penalty. Remaining prepaid amounts for services not supplied must be refunded where required by law.

This Code summarizes our public conduct standards. For students and clients, read it alongside the applicable Terms and Conditions and program requirements. For faculty and staff, the Employee & Faculty Handbook 2026/2027 and the applicable written working agreement provide the detailed procedures.

Nothing on this page removes mandatory legal rights, replaces a binding individual agreement, or retrospectively changes an existing agreement simply through publication. The applicable law and binding agreement govern in the event of a conflict.
